In 2022, Babcock Canada Inc. (Babcock), a leading Defence and Aerospace company, and Barnacle Systems Inc. (Barnacle), an award-winning manufacturer of remote security and monitoring systems, formed a partnership through an Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) investment to support the completion of Barnacle’s marine vessel remote monitoring and security device known as ‘BRNKL Black.’ Following the successful launch of BRNKL Black, both companies committed to building on their partnership and continued to seek additional opportunities to fuse Babcock’s data-driven asset management expertise with Barnacle’s skills in hardware design.
Today, Babcock and Barnacle are delighted to be extending their ITB partnership to design and develop a cutting-edge remote monitoring and data logging device for land vehicles, known as ‘BRNKL Green.’ This new device is designed to integrate advanced data logging capabilities with real-time monitoring functions, enhancing operational efficiency through in-service support and safety for land vehicles.
As both organizations begin to expand their operations to support land vehicles, the development of this new device is expected to set new standards in vehicle data management and operational oversight.
