Lunenburg Shipyard Ltd. (LSY) proudly operates a vessel repair, refit, and maintenance facility situated in the UNESCO heritage-designated Town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. With a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1891, LSY has been an enduring symbol of maritime excellence in Canada. Our legacy includes the craftsmanship of iconic vessels such as the Bluenose and Bluenose II, showcasing our commitment to tradition, excellence, and unparalleled service. 

In June 2023, LSY emerged under new management and ownership as the present-day entity. Since then, our facilities have undergone extensive revitalization, with plans for a comprehensive upgrade to incorporate cutting-edge efficiencies, the latest technologies, green energy initiatives, and a steadfast commitment to environmental responsibility.

At LSY, we are dedicated to delivering unmatched quality services while embodying the unique charm and appeal of the Town of Lunenburg as a working waterfront. Our dual marine railway capacity, capable of handling vessels of 1,200 tons and 1,600 tons, enhances our ability to provide top-tier services to meet the diverse needs of our clients.
