The establishment of CAFCYBERCOM represents an important milestone for the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). Our North, Strong and Free committed to establishing a new CAF Cyber Command, demonstrating Canada’s commitment to operating in the cyber domain and reflecting the essential role of cyber in modern operations.
This new command will be led by Major-General Dave Yarker, who will be responsible for cyber operations, and cyber force sustainment, management, and development.

Canadian Program for Cyber Security Certification Request for Information: Summary report

In May 2024, Public Services and Procurement Canada conducted a Request for Information (RFI) to assess industry readiness for the Canadian Program for Cyber Security Certification (CPCSC).
The RFI gathered responses from 91 organizations, including contractors, consultants and service providers. The findings outline key readiness levels, challenges and investment expectations across sectors, emphasizing the importance of alignment with the United States Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).

En mai 2024, Services publics et Approvisionnement Canada a mené une demande de renseignements (DDR) pour évaluer la préparation de l’industrie au Programme canadien de certification en cybersécurité (PCCC).
La DDR a recueilli les réponses de 91 organisations, incluant des entrepreneurs, des consultants et des fournisseurs de services. Les résultats présentent les niveaux de préparation, les défis et les attentes d'investissement clés, mettant en avant l'importance de l’harmonisation avec le certification du modèle de maturité de la cybersécurité (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification – CMMC) des États-Unis.
